WELCOME BACK!

We would like to welcome all our pupils and staff back from our very first overseas trip to Hong Kong!

I am glad that you have had really meaningful learning experiences and that you have all looked after each other really well.   Our teachers and school counsellor have gone beyond the call of duty in caring for you, and I am very happy to know that you are back, safe and sound.

Our special and sincere appreciation goes to:
  • our friends at Creative Primary School for having so graciously given you a glimpse of school life in Hong Kong;
  • the parents of our pupils, who have given you and our staff so many encouraging comments on the blog, cheering you on;
  • our teachers, who despite the many technical challenges, have been creative in finding a solution to get your messages back to the parents in Singapore.  Kudos to Mdm Yap Shu Hui, team leader, and Mrs Selene Yu, Mrs Chee Sock Pio, Mr Chan Seng Hon and Mr Michael Lim - thank you for making this dream come true for both our pupils and our school!
  • our teachers who worked back at school:  Members of our NE Committee, especially Mdm Jolene Goh, Mdm Lim Fung Hwee and Mdm Janice Chew, who looked into trip details, sent encouraging comments, and updated the rest of us in the school on what you have been doing;
  • our staff and pupils here in Singapore, who tracked what you have been doing during the trip, through the blog;
  • our ICT staff, for their support in setting up the blogsite; and
  • VP and all staff who sent you off, and welcomed you back at Changi Airport.
I am very sure that this trip has been a memorable one for everyone who went on it - one that you will remember for a long, long time to come.  The rest of us in Greendale Primary look forward to learning more from all pupils who made this milestone Global Citizens journey!   Ad Astra!

Ms Foong Yin Wei
